A day in the life of a windsurfer :)

After seeing Squiz at the dip - went to manor and as text its was 8-10kts, same as dip. went back to the dip and he had rigged and gone, bloody hell! I rigged 9.5/Phantom and Rog 8.5 /Cat cant remember what time we took off to the docks, but we just glimpsed him turning into the river.
For safety reasons (and working away for the next few days working :))I dare not follow u so raced Rog to the docks.
Wind was 10kts at the dip, and to be honest that was the windiest point today! not the Manor end
Rog never stood a Cats chance (pun intended :) on the beat down to the docks, with me on 9.5M :) and 300L. I love those odds :) Still at 105kg I was nervous that he would stuff me with his 50p board and take the piss :)
The wind was OK on the way, and I was planing on full plate. It dropped a bit and on the approach to the docks and I miss calculated and took out one of the 3 fishermen's line on my beat line. It was the end one as I heard some abuse and saw him wa*king! (well it looked like that :)
I expected a slingshot of maggots, but maybe he left it at home as nothing came my way.
One more beat took me to safety next to the docks as we both landed and Rog played safe missing the rods.

We had a misogynous chat, u know cos we have wives who just love windsurfing and never moan?! But alas the wind dropped to maybe 7 kts. Rog took off for the broad reach back and the crafty bastard nearly stuffed me as he hug the coast line to keep out of the tide. I had to clear the fishermen in case he shot me, so plate'd out to sea, with the tide coming in, that was a bad move, as Rog opened a massive lead as I fell in, pissing around with my not so f*cking adjustable outhaul, well funny..

I gave up and started chasing Rog who was now going past the pier and I was 500M down. F*ucking sail was too tight so I was in the pooh..if Rog beat me on his 50P board....and the bastard was pumping, after claiming he had problems with his fingers!
I switched to a broad reach to get out of the tide and was just behind him at the fludg,(and he had that effing grin on his face with victory in sight! The wind God answered my prayers and the wind dropped even more, allowing the 300L's to just creep past him by 5 metres. Jesus Christ I had to jump off the board and land, to claim victory and in doing so landed shit (easterly shore break) breaking yet another effing batten! Still the 50p board lost.......fu*k knows how much the batten will be if I cant find a tube!
Saw Steve coming out of the river planing 10 minutes later, but as he hit the sea, zilch.
Sorry Steve, even at my snail pace it looked to a alnighter for u! glad u had a goodtime.
Chat to both Andy J and Andy M, then left at 5.00 to face the wrath as to why I didn't arrive home at 4.00 to chauffeur the blood suckers.....
